| Unique set up...I live on the second floor of a 4 level backsplit and rent 3 rooms out upstairs on 4th level. 2 are available May 1st. It's located on Inverhuron Crescent in Waterloo and backs on to the Iron Horse trail. 5 mins by car to UW, 15 mins by bike, 25 by bus. One UW student is living. here now and I have one larger room for $850 per month and smaller one is $750 per month. Both are funished with bed, desk and chair and include utilities and WIFI. House is very tidy and comfortable with a shared kitchen and dining area. I have it professionaly cleaned once a month and it's a home, not a student house so if you're looking for quiet, tidy and a feeling of me, this is for you. Beautiful backyard with patio and firepit...great for studying outside during warm weather and I have a BBQ and smoker on the deck. The tenants I have now pay me extra and I include food with room. This arrangement is available if you don't want to think about having to get groceries and I also cook good meals 2 to 3 times per week. In this scenario, the kitchen is always stocked with snacks, variety of quick lunch meals, milk, eggs, bread, veggies, fruit, coffee, etc. My current tenants love the convenience of a food plan but it's not mandatory. I also have an Aussie Doodle who is well behaved, calm and super friendly who lives with us. I'm told it's a unique set up and people seem to like it as an alternative to regular student housing. |
