| I am looking for an unfurnished room and a parking space for my small car. I have a single bed, a 6' folding desk, a 3'x2' table, a CRT TV, a microwave oven, 2 hot water dispensers and many apple boxes. I also have 3 mini frig (20" x 20" x 36"), they have 5-star energy saving rating. I need to have them in my room for convenience, I don't need to use the refrigerator in the kitchen. I also wish for a benign, empathetic and flexible landlord to enhance my livelihood and make me feeling "there is no place like home". On the other hand, I believe landlord want to know the tenants living in their home, they don't want to admit a wolf into their home. My cooking habit: I do very little cooking, I eat the same meals everyday: Oatmeal in the morning (done in my microwave oven) and rice porridge with meat and vegetables in the early afternoon (all done in a rice cooker). I don't use the stove. My supper is usually finished before others start cooking their diner. My lifestyle and my characters: I am youthful looking (everyone thinks I am in my 40's), I am neat, tidy and well organized, I always keep my home spotlessly clean. I spent my time on the computer doing research and playing the stock market, listening to music, watching my collection of movies/films from a projector, posting music videos in Youtube for fun and passing time and go exercising/jogging in the woods twice weekly. I am quiet, mild tempered, honest, considerate, spiritual but not religious. I strive to maintain a positive attitude about life, especially in difficult times. Sometimes I am humourous and make my neighbour tenants laughing hysterically. My background and credential: I am a Cantonese speaking Chinese Canadian grew up as a teenager in Toronto. I have a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Toronto. I retired from my job as an electronic technician from a big electronic company in the aerospace industry after 31 year of service. My starting salary was $167/week, my salary at retirement was $1,044/week, I have paid nearly $1/2 million income tax in my working life. While some retirees received GIS and other benefits, I was still paying $7,000 income tax annually in the past 10 years, because I had big income supplement from my RRIF, but my RRIF has been depleted due to expensive condo living and surging inflation of recent years that I need to downsize my rent. I have secure and steady pension income, I will not lose my job and unable to pay my rent, income statement is available on demand. I have an Equifax Credit Score of 802 which is rated as "excellent". My past residence: I sold my condo in Toronto and moved to Mississauga for cleaner air and less traffic congestion. In the past 10 years I have been living in a leased condo in the Square One area. I have moved out of the condo as condo living has become unaffordable, my landlord said I am the best tenant ever, reference is available. Currently I am living in a rooming house for short term lease as my landlord will be migrating to US later this year, reference is also available. My desired living enviroment: I like a room with big west facing window. I like a private bathroom or a clear, uncongested bathroom with a sparkling clean bathtub shared with only one other tenant. I like a clean, uncongested kitchen counter to prepare my meat and vegetables to be stored in my mini-frigs. I will be euphoric if the house is in the vicinity of woods as I love exercising and jogging in the oxygenated woods (Richard Jones Park, Deer Run Park are my favorite woods) Move in date: July 1 Lease term: Long term |
