Description
Available August 1st or before or immediately Graduate students are especially welcome. Vegetarian is a bonus, but not a requirement. There are two bedrooms available in a ground floor apartment, with an office in the basement. The rooms are reasonably big, with sun in the afternoon. Ample closet space, desk and linens provided. Laundry in the apartment. Fully equipped kitchen available for your use. Wifi is provided; heat, utilities and all the rest should work out to about $50 / month if you’re careful about heating. The apartment is a 16-minute walk to McGill. No pets. No smoking. The apartment is on the ground floor of an 1880s building just off St-Urbain on a remarkably quiet courtyard, which you can enjoy on the large patio. It’s an impressive and really well maintained space, amply furnished, with lots of natural light. You’ll be 1.5 blocks from St Laurent Blvd to the east, right on the edge of the Ghetto and Plateau. It is an eminently walkable neighbourhood. The owner will be using the basement office occasionally (two or three nights a week). I’m quiet like a churchmouse, and you often won't be able to tell if I'm here at all. My average work week during the term is about sixty hours, and I’m often out of town, so you won’t see much of me. The courtyard has 14 apartments facing onto it, most of which are populated by over-60s, so this will never be party place. Dinners and (electric) fireside gatherings are fine, but any noise that can be heard by the neighbours is a non-starter. Please address us a short paragraph that outlines what you’ll be doing in Montreal and why the arrangement suits you. Tell us a little about yourself – your likes and dislikes and the like.
