| I am a single 35 year old dad of 2 kids. The kids live with their mom. I just moved here from ontario to be closer to my kids because the travel from calgary to ontario has been getting to hard on everyone and I miss them to much being away from them for so long. I have been here since may and my e.i from ontario stopped in June. So I had no choice but to end up in a shelter. I have had no luck with work yet, but I am on alberta works now so I do have some income coming in every month that will cover rent! I am continuously searching for employment. Had 3 interviews sofar. All 3 told me I don't have any references from alberta that it's gonna be hard to find work here. I won't give up tho! I DO NOT do drugs or drink!! I am quiet and responsible. I am trying to get on my feet so I may continue to live here in calgary to be closer to my kids. I am looking for a pet friendly room or a bachelor. Nothing to big for it's just me and my last cat moving in(he's very quiet, friendly, and doesn't make messes!!) I am currently getting $485 from alberta works for just basic needs. That is only half of what I can get because I'm at a shelter. I will be able to get more from them once I have a fixed address that I would be paying rent for.
