| starting July 15, 2024 THE SPACE: I live in a 2 year old, two bed two bath plus den, 990SF condo at 1768 Cook Street called Avenue One. It’s an exclusive, high end residential building with 24 hour concierge, gym, study/card/meeting room, communal gardens and BBQ, pool table, and spectacular water gardens. I AM LOOKING FOR one (1) person for the spare bedroom and main hall bathroom. Ideally, you are quiet, mature, tidy/clean, organized, meticulous and appreciate a beautiful, relaxing and well-appointed home. We can do month to month or short term. Ideally you are here for short term work, or between homes, or visiting but don’t want to be in a hotel for a month. Nurses/doctors/residents or pilots/flight attendants or those who work odd hours, sleep a lot and/or away a lot, are ideal. In fact if you’re not here much we can definitely negotiate on the rent. The ROOM includes: a beautiful custom closet with millwork, soft close drawers and organizers; a queen size memory foam mattress; a three drawer night stand, floor and table lamps and wireless phone charger. There is also a mirror, some art on the walls, and I can also include a sitting chair. You will use the main hall bath next to the front entrance which has a large walk in shower. The bonus is the 300 SF balcony with all the outdoor furniture and bbq set up with a view of our water gardens, Hinge Park, downtown and the mountains. I also have a super friendly 25lbs Boston Terrier named Mocha who is just a cute bundle of joy. COST: I’m asking for $2,300/month, for the furnished bedroom, the hall bathroom, use of kitchen, dining room and balcony. The unit has AC and the balcony has space heaters plus electric privacy blinds. My bedroom is on the opposite side of this corner NE facing unit in a concrete building. Linen is included, but you can bring your own. LOCATION: I am a 7 min drive from VGH, 20 minute walk, or 13 min bike ride. You can also take the subway one stop to VGH with some walking before and after, or there are busses that go close to VGH as well. There are public Mobi bikes you can rent too. The Canada skytrain line also takes you downtown or to the airport, and the Expo skytrain line takes you to Metrotown and eastern suburbs. ME: gay, 43 year old, lawyer and competitive bodybuilder.
