| Room available Dec 1st in our upstairs half of a chill colourful and cozy home near Victoria and 41st, with 3 other roommates for $700 (plus utilities) Females only, no couples Age range 26-38 No smoking and no pets (unless in an aquarium/terrarium) References required We have a video tour I will send to anyone we're interested in meeting! Better/more photos of the room soon The room is medium/large sized with a standard closet and a huge window, it faces the backyard The house itself gets lots of light, big windows everywhere, and has hardwood floors We have a washer and dryer in suite. There is a big garden in the back, it would be really great if you wanted to participate in growing veggies this year! There is a piano and some guitars here, also a craft/project table for art that is available for use, there is lots of colourful art everywhere and room for more! One of the only downsides of the house is the walls are very thin and we can hear through them quite easily, we utilize headphones and earplugs Though we enjoy having friends over this is not a party house, we get up fairly early and have quiet time by 11 pm, not for someone who stays up really late making noise, we have a strict no hard drug rule in the house About you: -Have experience in communal living situations, or have been living as an independend adult for a few years (please don't apply if this is your first place out of your parents) -Value open, clear, non confrontational communication -Clean habits, we leave the kitchen clean all the time with an occasional odd cup or pan left for no more than 24 hrs. We also need to compost and recycle mostly all we can as we have limited space in the garbage bin shared with downstairs unit. (In the past people have not been doing their part with this and it's caused a lot of problems and extra work, looking to avoid that for sure! Keeping all common areas clean/tidy and doing your fair share is required) The owner has a strict no smoking of any kind on the property due to extreme insurance policies, we smoke a bit of weed inside it just has to not be visible from the street at all, to smoke tobacco you have to go off the property Rent is paid in cash, not because the house is being rented illigally but because our landlady is super oldschool and doesn't like etransfers There is a snake here! It's very safe non-venomous and friendly, it mostly stays in it's home you can pet him and be involved if you want or you can never touch it if you don't like snakes, if you strongly dislike snakes this probably isn't the best place It's near Arglye and 41st, close to the 41 and R4 busses, quick bus ride to Joyce skytrain station or Oakridge 41st skytrain station, 5/10 min walk to Victoria street with lots of food and some shops, 10/15 min walk to Value Village Thanks for your time and happy home hunting! |
