| To anyone who can help, I'm reaching out because I find myself in a difficult situation and urgently need a helping hand. After my landlord sold the place I was renting, I didn’t have the funds or time to secure a new home. At that point, I was working and assisting my boyfriend with his masonry contracts, but things took a turn when he became ill and then suffered three broken ribs from a biking accident , which severely limited our ability to work and earn income. Now that his work is out of season, we’re struggling even more, spending nearly all our time trying to meet basic needs like food, shelter, and clean clothes. Despite our efforts, we haven’t been able to find stable support. Shelters are frequently full, funding for programs is exhausted quickly, and accessing temporary accommodations like hotel programs has become nearly impossible due to long waiting lists. I’ve been on the housing priority list for over two years, yet nothing has come through. I’m not reaching out for a handout, i’m reaching out for a hand up. I am determined to get back on my feet and become a productive member of society. I just need someone to look past my current circumstances and give me a chance to rent a room or secure stable housing so that I can start rebuilding. If anyone has a lead on housing, temporary assistance, or job opportunities that could provide a stepping stone, it would mean everything to me. Any kind of help or suggestions would actually be helpful . If you could even help with a meal that could very well help us meet one of our basics needs for the day and we could then focus more on finding housing or work that day .
