| Disclaimer: I don't need to rent (I have a good income) but it feels like a waste to have this big beautiful apartment empty most of the day. Maybe this can benefit someone. Location: 4 minute walk from Richmond (e..g Black Walnut cafe) & amenities, bus. Apartment: 780 sq ft + balcony. Awesome building. Housemate: me, nice, active, working professional, rarely home. Offer (read carefully): Okay! So, when I was in university I had a one bedroom apartment and -rented out the living room- as a "studio" living space. So one bed in the bedroom, one bed in the living room. Today, this 1-BEDROOM apartment is bigger than the 2-bedroom apartments in my building (780 vs 750 sqft). So, I'm going to explore the same idea. Option 1) you rent the big bedroom. Queen-sized bed, thera-pedic ($4000) mattress. Closet in bedroom, but no walk-in closet. Rent $1100. Option 2) "studio style" bed in the super big living room + WALK-IN closet. Rent $800. It's a personal preference whether people are cool with this sort of thing. That said, it's a crazy good location, awesome apartment, has parking, a balcony, etc. Like I said, I don't need to rent, just seeing if there's someone who would benefit and would make a good housemate.
