| Hello, I'm looking to rent a private room in a quiet house and neighborhood, preferably where the owners also live. I'm allergic to curry, so no Indian cooking please. I'm turning 65 next month and will be retiring. I'd like to be the only tenant like I am here, but will co-exist with two more maximum. No small children or yappy dogs please. I am an embedded electronics engineer/programmer by training and have my electronics lab with me, in the form of a bunk-bed. The bottom is my lab, the top my bed. foot print is 4'x7'x7'. Needs an 8' ceiling to allow the use of the bed on top. I'd like to keep it if there is no room for a separate bed and a lab workbench. My hobby and now life is electronics, robotics, programming,... I also have an electric moped that I use for my daily errands if the weather permits, bus or Uber otherwise. I'd need a place to park and charge it. It costs less than $1 a week in electricity. I can't get greener than that! I'm quiet as a mouse and only come out of my room when I need to. I even have my own little kitchen in my room. For the past five years, I've been living in this house in Kanata with a Ottawa police Sargent and his wife, a DND manager. They'll be my references. I'm mature, respectful, private and quiet person. An ideal tenant that always pays the rent one day early:) They're selling the house and moving to Belleville. I have to move by Oct 1st or sooner if I find the right place.
