My roommate and I have one unfurnished bedroom and private full bathroom, available for rent July 1st, on the main floor of a split level house in a quiet residential neighbourhood in the Rideau View area. It is a 5 minute drive to Carleton University and Mooney’s Bay, and a 10 minute drive to downtown. We are close to two major intersections: Fisher Ave/Meadowlands Dr E, and Prince of Wales Dr/Hog’s Back Rd. The house is currently shared by myself, my roommate, and her 2 small dogs. My roommate and I are female between the ages of 25-35, and we are both queer and neurodivergent. Our goal is to create and foster a safe space for ourselves and our new roommate! PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD New Roommate Preferably: - Female between the ages of 25-35 - Queer and/or neurodivergent - Clean and tidy - Respectful of shared spaces - Comfortable with communication - Comfortable with dogs About the House: - Open, spacious, and bright home with plenty of natural light - Washer and dryer in laundry room of finished basement - Dishwasher in kitchen - Central AC and heating - Various storage spaces - Driveway parking and plenty of free street parking - Spacious and fully-fenced in backyard - Not located in a student area but is close to Carleton University - Close to many bus routes - Close to many trails and green spaces - Limited accessibility for mobility related disabilities due to stairs - Limited furniture in shared spaces About the Room: - Spacious - Large closet space - Private full bathroom LANDLORD WILL REQUIRE - Proof of income - Credit check APPLICANTS Please write about yourself, including your name, age, profession, your ideal roommates, as well as what you’re looking for in a home and shared living space.
