Walleye, perch, pike, carp and of course, CATFISH! Lake Erie is known for some of the best fishing around. We have quite the shallow lake front which will allow you to wade quite far. Plus we have a boat launch at the end of the lane! If switching it up from the cottage, here are some of the top spots near us: Bob Baigent Memorial Park - There is a free, municipal ramp here with deeper water to launch your boat. Dunnville Bridge - Both Upper and Lower Grand River can be accessed and because of the dam, it is a hub for carp. Kinsmen Park - Fish from the shore or platform. Easy access the other side of the bridge. LaFortune Park - The water slows down quite a bit here, launch your boat from Harrison Landing next door and do some fishing. Great for perch. Moulton Bay - The wind on the lake can act pretty rough, but in the Bay it’s much more controlled making an easier launch from Mohawk Marina. Nanticoke Habour - A favourite location for perch and walleye. Launch from Hoover Marina. PS. They also have a fabulous restaurant! Port Maitland East - Much less windy on the eastern side, there is a free municipal boat ramp located here. Caledonia Bait & Tackle says to target perch or walleye in this area. Port Maitland Esplanade & Pier - Highly recommended spot tor entering Lake Erie. There is a boat ramp available and shoreline fishing is good. Seneca Park - Not too busy and is a great spot to do some fly fishing. It’s fairly shallow, meaning you can wade out quite far. York Park - Shoreline and fly fishing are very popular here. Tons of carp. Waterfront Way Trail - Shallow, calmer water. You can fish off the pedestrian bridge or wade the water. Sandusk Creek - Sheltered and shallow. Find lots of perch, bass and catfish. FALL / WINTER We are a FOUR season cottage available 365 days a year. In colder months, there’s still lots to enjoy! From hiking local trails to enjoying the view of the Lake Erie’s ice caps from your own backyard to visiting local historic landmarks, wineries/breweries or the Simcoe Panorama - come enjoy this winter wonderland!
