| We are renting our Off Grid homestead near st Williams Ontario. The home is a 2 bedroom mobile home which is powered by solar panels and has a compost toilet system. There is a very large greenhouse on site which can be used and a 4 year old orchard bearing fruit. The homestead lifestyle is not for everyone. In December and January if there are several days of cloud cover then the generator will need to be run to charge up the batteries. Rest of the year the generator is not required. It is a private location far back from the road. With that comes a long driveway. There are neighbours with tractors to help with snow.
