Description
The listing info: Searching for a new Flatmate • Area is Bloor and Mt. Pleasant/Huntley St (closest subway is Bloor and Sherbourne) very central location and easy access downtown •Rent is $1169.56 each (Total rent: $2339.11), heat and water included. There is an annual rent increase every year in October - following the rent control regulations from the LTB, maximum increase is 2.5% unless approved by the LTB for a higher rate. • Hydro, internet, & tenant insurance I pay and you e-transfer me your half; it ranges between $80-$120/month depending on the hydro bill each month, plus after we add in your valuables to the insurance contract which the changes can make it cheaper or more expensive. •Building has pool and party room being built/fixed up (not sure when it will be completed) and there is a very small gym & across is a laundry room with 24hr access. •Other great thing is the building is connected to a Nofrills, Rexall, Post office/UPS, and Shoppers and FreshCo is a short walk away. Sherbourne Stn is a quick walk away; can get anywhere downtown easily - especially by bike. It's quite a good spot considering how expensive rent is currently everywhere & I really don't want to leave this area as it's close to where I work so I hope it would be a great convince for you too! •What I am looking for in a roommate is that they would be clean and organized (we will try to figure out a schedule and work together with cleaning shared spaces) and best if you have less furniture as the livingroom isn't too big and I have most of it fully furnished but I will try my best to accomodate with ya. Can also rent a locker from building if need be. • I don't mind sharing certain things/taking turns buying, ie. Hand/dish soap, spices, condiments, etc. And ofc labeling things so we can tell what is shared and what is not and try to be less wasteful as much as possible. This would be great if you're okay with this since I find it is the better option because fridge/freezer/shelves aren't the biggest and can get really packed if not organized properly and no point of spending more money on double of certain things we both will use anyways. But for sure will set the space to have even amount of space I’m open to any suggestions to reorganize to accommodate the both of us. • Pet friendly, small animals would be preferred as it’s not a large apartment. • I would prefer someone who is vegan/vegetarian but it isn’t a dealbreaker, tho it would be great if you’re ok with keeping the kitchen free from meat/eggs/dairy majority of the time or have it be stored/prepared separately to avoid cross contamination. •I can send a walk through of how the apartment looks/updated photos. It's a South-East corner apartment and can see CN tower from Balcony. The room that would be available will be the one facing the balcony which is a bit bigger than my room but I do get the additional large storage closet/den. •If interested, move in date can start anytime after meeting and dealing of all the basic documents/agreements, proof of income etc. have been signed and discussed between both of us. •Do let me know what you think. If you have any questions, I’ll try my best to answer. I’d be happy to schedule a time to meet and we can discuss further and to get to know each other a bit more to see if we would be compatible living together About me: I am very outgoing, 24y/o young professional individual living in downtown Toronto since 2019, originally from Mississauga. I’m a chef building a catering company with my friend and I work night shifts for my full time job at Soyboys Burgers. My interests/passions include: plant based/vegan lifestyle; all types of important movements like Animal rights, environmental issues, human rights, affordable housing, etc.; health and fitness; horticulture/plants; and being low to zero waste as much as possible. I’m very easy going and will always try my best to keep positive vibes :)
