| One bedroom available for rent for one person starting January 1st 2025 in a nice, clean and sunny apartment near Uptown Waterloo! Minimum 8 month lease. The apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms total, as well as a common furnished living room, dining room and balcony. There would be three people total living here, including the person renting this room. We are on the third floor and have a large wrap-around balcony with a beautiful view of the creek next door (lots of fun birds to look at!). We’re a couple (both female) and we own and live in the unit. We graduated from university recently and are working full-time. We work from home for the majority of the week, so we’re in the apartment relatively often. We use the second bedroom as an office. We both like thrifting, being active and crafting. I work in environmental sustainability and my partner works as a software engineer. The bedroom for rent is just under 11x11 feet with an open closet. The bedroom floors are recently updated. The main bathroom is also newly renovated including brand new sinks, flooring, and shower. This bathroom would mainly be yours, since we have an ensuite powder room in our bedroom and only use the main bathroom to shower. There’s also a double sink in the bathroom, so one sink can be all yours. This is at minimum an 8-month lease with NO subletting (sorry - this is a condo board rule, not mine!). There would be the possibility to renew your lease in September 2025 (but no guarantee). Some more features of the apartment are: - Huge fridge/freezer with a water dispenser and ice maker - Dishwasher - Breville espresso machine - Air fryer / microwave / toaster - Roomba (so the floors are kept clean!) - TV with a Chromecast - Huge furnished balcony with a couch, table and chairs - Plenty of storage (large utility closet, coat closet, and two linen closets) - In-unit thermostat for heating - Electric fireplace in the dining room - Small gym on the top floor of the building with weight machines, treadmill and elliptical - Locked bike room on the ground floor - Beautiful, well-maintained grounds with lots of trees and gardens - Plenty of visitor parking on-site - Building superintendent on-site - Quiet building with many elderly residents - Community library for residents - Air conditioned (window units are not allowed, but we set up a couple portable air conditioners in the warmer months and find it cool enough) - Coin laundry on the first floor of the building ($3 per load) The location is great - we’re just a few blocks from King St and all of Uptown Waterloo. We're very accessible to Laurier, UWaterloo and Conestoga by foot, bike or transit. There are many bus stops within a short walk of the building (routes 8/12, 29, 5, 7, and 16) and we’re a 12 minute walk from the nearest LRT stop. There’s also a Neuron scooter parking spot right outside the building. The building is conveniently right beside a Walmart, Sobeys, Anytime Fitness, Bulk Barn, Shoppers Drug Mart, Beer Store, and more. We’re also right on the Laurel Trail! Parking is available for $50/month. For rent, we’re asking $1,190/month plus $30/month for internet, and a flat $30/month rate for utilities. This makes a total of $1250/month + optional parking.
